Thanks to our friend, Nando Rollando, we were lucky enough to be hosted in Vernazza, Cinqueterre, a beautiful coastal location with immediate access to the mountains. Nando was a friend made in Afghanistan while he was working as a ski instructor in the central highlands of Bamyan we we quickly bonded over a meal of Italian gnocchi in the Afghan province.
